Holiday homes in Hasle and Vang on Bornholm
At the Bornholm west coast lies the charming town of Hasle whose old herring smokehouses are still in use though only as museum smokehouses now. The smoking of the herrings starts at 8 a.m., and from around noon you can enjoy the warm, delicious, freshly smoked fish.
The cobbled streets of the town also lead up to the beautiful Hasle Church, which was built as a Gothic chapel in 1460. The church is well worth a visit and has a late Gothic altarpiece dating from around 1510 with richly ornamented woodwork. The pulpit is from around 1600.
At the Grønbechs Gård gallery (Kunsthåndværkets Hus), you will find changing arts and crafts exhibitions. The place is a unique exhibition and cultural centre placed in an old merchant house in the centre of Hasle.
At Hasle Harbour, you will find the new harbour bath where you can enjoy the sun, a swim or even a dive from the quayside.
