Description
Denmark's westernmost point is one of the country's most popular family holiday destinations. The countryside around Blåvand is strikingly beautiful with impressive dune formations leading down to a seemingly never-ending beach. The hinterland comprises large undisturbed areas of moorland and woods. Many holidaymakers return year after year to this part of the west coast which is fascinating whatever the season. The south-facing beach at Hvidbjerg Strand is considered the best in Denmark. It has all the attractions of the North Sea and at the same time is very child friendly because of its sheltered position by the large Horn's Reef, which is home to the world's largest offshore wind farm. The entire area has a rich animal and bird life and Denmark's largest wild animal, the red deer, can be observed here in its natural habitat. Blåvand has a variety of shops that are open all year and the town has many good restaurants and cafés. Local activities include bowling, mini golf, squash, badminton and tennis. You can also make your own candles here or watch candy being made. Legoland is just over an hour's drive away, and Esbjerg with its Fisheries and Maritime Museum and bustling harbour is approx. 30 minutes' drive from Blåvand.

Arrival and departure (check-in/check-out)
Check-in is usually between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., but the exact time will be stated on the rental contract, which you will receive from the rental agency when you have completed your booking.

If you arrive after the key pick-up has closed, you will still be able to get your key from a key locker or box. The precise location of this locker will be given in the rental contract.

Check-out must be completed no later than 10 a.m.

Getting your keys
When you have completed your booking, you will receive a rental contract from the rental agency stating an address where you can pick up your key.

The key pick-up is usually the local office of the rental agency, or a nearby petrol station or grocery shop with which the rental agency has an agreement.

Payment terms
Payment is usually made in two instalments.

The first instalment covers 25% of the total rental amount and payment must be received by the rental agency within eight days of completing the booking. When you have completed your booking, you will receive an invoice for the first instalment along with the rental contract from the rental agency.

The second instalment covers the rest of the total rental amount and payment must be received by the rental agency no later than 42 days before your arrival.

If the booking is made less than 42 days prior to arrival the holiday home provider requires online payment and the full amount must be paid at the time of booking.

Water: Is normally DKK 60,00 m3, the price may vary per m3, but can be seen under "Various information".
Heating oil: Heating with oil does not happen in many houses, and the price will vary from house to house.

At the end of your stay, this amount will be offset against your actual consumption.

Deposit
Usually the rental agency will not charge any deposit. In special cases, however, a deposit may be charged to cover any major damages.
