Historic seat of the nobility Bjørnemose Estate boasts an exciting history stretching all the way back to the 16th century. Over the years, the estate has been in possession of a number of Danish noble families including the Ulfeldts, the Valkendorfs, the Skeels and the Sehesteds. Between 2002 and 2006 it underwent a thorough renovation that thoroughly modernised the building while fully preserving the style and the atmosphere of its glorious past. Today, this magnificent property is characterised by its fantastic décor and fine details, evidenced by features like bold pillars and attractive hand-carved banisters. Vacation in atmospheric luxury After its recent renovation, this luxury estate is now in a condition to offer discerning guests a particularly exclusive and comfortable vacation or conference residence. Features include impressive lounges and drawing rooms decorated in a traditional style, as well as antique furniture, mirrors and crystal chandeliers. Furthermore, Bjørnemose also boasts a wine cellar with open fireplace, a library, a banqueting hall and a childrens room containing TV, toys and games. This property also contains a unique mirror room with a billiard table, Chesterfield furniture and a distinctive view over the water. In the wing you will find a 100 m2 games and activity room where you can try your hand at squash (bring your own rackets), petanque, darts or basketball. Roman bathing paradise The lower floor contains an outstanding 70 m2 large Roman baths complete with pillars and rounded arches. The pool itself measures 36 m2 and comes equipped with air jets and a 'non-slip descent chute' for guests who need to get into the pool without climbing. Here you will also find a shower and a Turkish style steam bath / sauna. Capital of the archipelago Bjørnemose Estate enjoys a perfect location not far from Svendborg, a charming town described as the 'capital of the archipelago' which is characterised by narrow streets and well-preserved old squares and courtyards. Svendborg is also known for its charming harbour front cafes and restaurants that are reminiscent of southern France, as well as its broad choice of sights, activities and attractions. Arrival and departure (check-in/check-out)
Check-in is usually between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., but the exact time will be stated on the rental contract, which you will receive from the rental agency when you have completed your booking.

If you arrive after the key pick-up has closed, you will still be able to get your key from a key locker or box. The precise location of this locker will be given in the rental contract.

Check-out must be completed no later than 10 a.m.

Getting your keys
When you have completed your booking, you will receive a rental contract from the rental agency stating an address where you can pick up your key.

The key pick-up is usually the local office of the rental agency, or a nearby petrol station or grocery shop with which the rental agency has an agreement.

Payment terms
Payment is usually made in two instalments.

The first instalment covers 25% of the total rental amount and payment must be received by the rental agency within eight days of completing the booking. When you have completed your booking, you will receive an invoice for the first instalment along with the rental contract from the rental agency.

The second instalment covers the rest of the total rental amount and payment must be received by the rental agency no later than 42 days before your arrival.

If the booking is made less than 42 days prior to arrival the holiday home provider requires online payment and the full amount must be paid at the time of booking.

Water: Is normally DKK 60,00 m3, the price may vary per m3, but can be seen under "Various information".
Heating oil: Heating with oil does not happen in many houses, and the price will vary from house to house.

Deposit
Usually the rental agency will not charge any deposit. In special cases, however, a deposit may be charged to cover any major damages.
