In addition to beaches there is also a nature reserve in the neighbourhood of the town. Also visit the fire museum in Odsherred and the Adventure Park of Zealand with your children. There are three outstanding hiking trails in this region, namely, sea, sand and wind - 16.2 km, water birds - 8 km and coastal culture 7.5 km. Odsherred is known for its geological uniqueness and is as beautiful as a geological park. You can also find graves and tombs that date back to Stone Age and Bronze Age located on the Grave Hill Street. There are 300-year-old remains of the forest village of Ulkerup and the famous Hempel Glass Museum in this region. A replica of the sun chariot found in the moors of Trundholm Moses is displayed in Odsherred Museum. Also take a look at the boulder of Lommesten as well as the Castle of Naesholm Borg, located on a small island in Lake Nygard, situated between Hojby and Nykobing. In Odsherred, you can also find a nature school, where you learn to catch sea trout, go on butterfly safaris, take expeditions through forest and explore the forest with troll and fox trips.

Arrival and departure (check-in/check-out)
Check-in is usually between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., but the exact time will be stated on the rental contract, which you will receive from the rental agency when you have completed your booking.
If you arrive after the key pick-up has closed, you will still be able to get your key from a key locker or box. The precise location of this locker will be given in the rental contract.
Check-out must be completed no later than 10 a.m.
Getting your keys
When you have completed your booking, you will receive a rental contract from the rental agency stating an address where you can pick up your key.
The key pick-up is usually the local office of the rental agency, or a nearby petrol station or grocery shop with which the rental agency has an agreement.
Payment is usually made in two instalments.
The first instalment covers 25% of the total rental amount and payment must be received by the rental agency within eight days of completing the booking. When you have completed your booking, you will receive an invoice for the first instalment along with the rental contract from the rental agency.
The second instalment covers the rest of the total rental amount and payment must be received by the rental agency no later than 42 days before your arrival.
If the booking is made less than 42 days prior to arrival the holiday home provider requires online payment and the full amount must be paid at the time of booking.

Heating oil: Heating with oil does not happen in many houses, and the price will vary from house to house.

Usually the rental agency will not charge any deposit. In special cases, however, a deposit may be charged to cover any major damages.
