900 meters away from Egeskov castle you find the manor of Rubjerg which was until recently the private home of Count Michael Ahlefeldt-Laurvig Bille. The main building on the estate is now established as a holiday home for 16 persons. The house has 3 floors with a high basement, ground floor and 1st floor. In the basement area there is a pool room with pool tables, a meeting room, a small kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a guest toilet. On the ground floor there is an office with Internet access. From here you have access to the beautiful sitting room with fireplace and the dining room. There is a modern kitchen with a large gas stove with grill element. In addition, 1 bedroom with access to a large bathroom with bath tub. On 1st floor there are 5 bedrooms, a kitchenette and 2 bathrooms. Please note that the buildings belonging to the estate are being used actively.

Free entrance to Egeskov Castle

As a tenant of this house, you have free entrance to Egeskov castle during the stay. The offer is only current in the opening period of Egeskov Castle. Egeskov Castle is one of the biggest attractions on the island of Funen where the beautiful main building, classic car museum, the Museum of Agriculture, the large park with the largest hedge maze in the world, the 3 gardens, rose garden, herb garden and the flower garden, "tree top walking" through 15 meters above the surface and the large playground can be visited. The castle is beautifully situated in the countryside not far from Svendborg and Faaborg.

Arrival and departure (check-in/check-out)
Check-in is usually between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m., and check-out is no later than 10 a.m. The exact time will be stated on the rental contract, which you will receive from the rental agency when you have completed your booking.

If you expect to arrive very late or on another day than the one specified in the booking form, please notify the rental agency well ahead of your arrival in order to arrange a key pick-up.

Getting your keys
When you have completed your booking, you will receive a rental contract from the rental agency stating an address where you can pick up your key.

The key pick-up is usually the local office of the rental agency.

Payment terms
Payment is usually made in two instalments.

When you have completed your booking, you will receive an invoice for 25% of the rental amount along with the rental contract from the rental agency.

The second instalment covers the rest of the total rental amount, and payment must be received by the rental agency no later than 60 days before the start of the rental period.

If the booking is made less than 60 days before the start of the rental period, you will receive an invoice due immediately for the full rental amount along with the contract from the rental agency.

Electricity charges
The cost per kWh may vary depending on facilities and location in Denmark. Electricity charges must be settled before departure.

The rental agency will charge you a deposit in addition to the rental amount. The deposit depends on the facilities of the holiday home. The deposit will be refunded no later than two weeks after your departure provided that the rental agency's inspection of the holiday home proved satisfactory.
