Description

Good views of Roskilde Fjord or the Isefjord can be found all across the Hornsherred peninsula. Along the coast there are plenty of good bathing spots, while the many well-marked country paths provide good opportunities to explore this undulating landscape. Popular destinations include the royal city of Roskilde, with its attractive cathedral and museum, housed in what was formerly the great hall. Roskilde is also home to the famous Viking Ship Museum, which features both permanent and temporary exhibitions. Furthermore, from May to September, visitors can take a voyage on a Viking ship. This region also offers good shopping, with many small, specialist boutiques, as well as galleries and art dealers catering to all tastes.

Practical information

Arrival and departure (check-in/check-out)
Check-in is usually between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., but the exact time will be stated on the rental contract, which you will receive from the rental agency when you have completed your booking.

If you arrive after the key pick-up has closed, you will still be able to get your key from a key locker or box. The precise location of this locker will be given in the rental contract.

Check-out must be completed no later than 10 a.m.

Getting your keys
When you have completed your booking, you will receive a rental contract from the rental agency stating an address where you can pick up your key.

The key pick-up is usually the local office of the rental agency, or a nearby petrol station or grocery shop with which the rental agency has an agreement.

Payment terms
Payment is usually made in two instalments.

The first instalment covers 25% of the total rental amount and payment must be received by the rental agency within eight days of completing the booking. When you have completed your booking, you will receive an invoice for the first instalment along with the rental contract from the rental agency.

The second instalment covers the rest of the total rental amount and payment must be received by the rental agency no later than 42 days before your arrival.

If the booking is made less than 55 days before your arrival, you will receive from the rental agency an invoice for the full rental amount due immediately. The money must be received by the rental agency within three days of completing the booking.

Electricity charges
The cost per kWh may vary depending on facilities and location in Denmark.

Deposit
The rental agency will charge a deposit, which we recommend that you pay along with the last rental instalment, since this will spare you unnecessary delays when you pick up your key. The deposit depends on the facilities of the holiday home. After departure, electricity charges and the cost of any damage incurred will be subtracted from the deposit.
