This region is home to some of Denmark's most child friendly beaches. The clean, shallow water is ideal for the kids to spend the day paddling, catching crabs and building sandcastles. If the Limfjord is not yet warm enough for swimming, the town of Skive is home to a tropical water park and there is also a swimming pool at nearby Farsø. Anglers will be spoilt for choice, with good opportunities to land a catch in the Limfjord and the region's other lakes, waterways and "put and take" lakes. Other popular activities include hiking in the unspoilt countryside, where you will always be able to find a tranquil, secluded spot for a picnic.
