"Ferie Fjord" is just 2 kilometres from the nearest beach, which is located by the village of Trend and is known as one of the best surfing areas in the country. Alternatively, the North Sea coastline at Slettestrand is just 35 kilometres away. A visit to the region can easily be combined with a sailing trip around the Limfjord on board one of the old wooden ships that ply their trade on the water, or one of the small ferries which link the islands of Venø, Fur and Livø with the mainland. The car-free island of Livø boasts a rich variety of animal life, including a colony of seals at the tip of protected and inaccessible Livø Tap area.
